About Sally-Anne

Sally-Anne Hungwe is a legal advisor at Mametja and Associates Inc.
She holds an LLB Degree and LLM (International Law) from the University of Witwatersrand. She is very passionate about Human Rights, Social Justice and International Law. She is particularly interested in drafting litigation documents and research.

She has experience working with organisations that foster human rights law and the protection and development of human rights like Lawyers for Human Rights as a Strategic Litigation Intern (2018) and the Social and Economic Rights Institute as a fieldworker (2014 – 2015). She was also a Researcher at the Mandela Institute at University of Witwatersrand Law School (2017) and a Senior Tutor at the University of Witwatersrand Law School (2018). Sally-Anne was also an Associate Editor for the South African Human Rights Journal (2016-1017).

Sally-Anne won the Best Heads of Argument Award at the Child Law Moot Court Competition held in Pretoria in 2015. She also won Best Independent Research Student (2016). She was also on the Dean’s List (2016).
She has vast of experience in drafting pleadings, legal opinions, affidavits and memorandums.
